Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18
Today was the first post, in a few weeks. My hubby and I spent our anniversary in a surprise trip to Vegas! What a blast....so upon my return to the REAL world...I popped on Coach K's blog to see what I missed these past few weeks. TOMORROW starting a new character building "contentment" and I didn't even get to test the waters of humility. So, I was indulging her little test and took it. With a score of 31. A few years back, I think I too, would have scored a little higher...but I have learned so much through my journey......I am truely learning how to change ME from the inside out.
Humlility is something we all need. Sometimes hard to put pride aside, and we all deal with different levels of it....and I think too, Coach K, it goes back to the Lion, Beaver, Otter and our dear friends the golden retreiver.........the farther away we are from the strongest of the character I beleive the less we have to be plegued with the lack of humility. I think all of us, however, have days that we want the world to be about us or show less humility....so just maybe I did take her test on a good day!
Kathy starts tomorrow the challenge and will be talking about contentment......so I will be eager to pop into her page and learn once again. I am sorry I didn't catch the last 9 days....but better now then never.
Happy blogging everyone and have the best day ever.
