It's just around the corner

Just around the bend.......a story I heard about today......in a book written about a man who almost quit.....yet....was just there.....if only.....just around the bend the answer awaits!

The story goes that.......he is an older gentleman.....an attempting to climb a mountain in Colorado.......he thinks that with the signs that are posted...elevation high...be sure you an endure.....and wonders if he can handle it......he is exhausted...and hikes..miles up the mountian....is out of breath......and puls over and gasps for air...and sees a man coming DOWN the mountian......much older then he....prays....and says....Lord...I just cant go any further..I am exhausted the elevcation is taking every breath....and.....I can not do this.....just then...and OLDER man comes down the mountain.....he thinks if he can do it...I can too....and with confidence...he proceeds up the mountian....as the older gentleman passes....he says....it is just up the hill....don't give up!....so he perservers...and in ten minutes he stand on the top of the mounian! So life if like that...just when we think we have been defeated.....it just might be just around the bend!

My blog for the night is.......just around the river bend...is the future....the place where we are reaching for....so don't give up early....cuz......when you feel like giving up....and if you do.....it could have been just right there....ALWAYS REACH AROUND THE BEND!

Happy blogging everyone.......see you again.....UNTIL

Why can't people be like dogs?

I am writing on behalf of my fellow dog lovers.....and if you are a cat lover.....I honor your love for your cat......! BUT Dogs.....are a different bread of animals. They unlike cats need to be loved all the time, not just when THEY want to be loved.......so I ask again....why can't people be more like dogs!?

Dogs are loyal, committed, they love so unconditionally and if you are mad at them....in the next moment if you pat them or rub their belly they will lick your face and all is forgiven. Dogs will serve you, cry with you, smile with you, they will sit with you all night if you are sick, they know when you are sad...and they feel excited when you are happy. Dogs are truely a best friend of their "pet"! They will defend you at all times and at all cost. They do not only love you when you are nice to them......when you feed them treats.....when you are in a good mood, but they love you even when you are grumpy, fuss at them because they are under you feet....they pee on the floor......or they hide in the mud because they do not want to go in their box. They are sad when you leave them and give you a sad face and feel abandoned....but when you come back.....they love you like nothing else. They live each moment to its fullest. Whether it is just chewing on a toy beside you while you are blogging or they are laying on a rug while you cook dinner.

Again, I ask.....why can sometimes, we be more like them. Life is sooooo short. We can not for a moment think that we are all promised tomorrow. Tomorrow may turn on a dime. If you study the day of a dog...they truely live each day to it's fullest. From the first stretch of the day......to the last yawn of the night....as they hog up the bed or hoodle up under the covers......for that day...they have sniffed more on the mile walk then we will ever sniff....they have played harder then we would ever play...they at times have defended us more then we could ever defend...they don't worry about how many treats they eat...they will eat what you offer them. Dogs...have MASTERED the life of living the day to the fullest!

Again I am not saying that Dogs are better than cats Auntie K...they are just different.....quit frankly...I know people who are like the cat.....self centered, independent, only likes love on their terms, controling, even sometimes snobby! Not my friends but I now some! LOL But if we can be more like the dog....the forgiving one....even though someone was JUST mean to me.......how much nicer would this world be??? IF we could all.....live each day as if we only had one day to live....we would truely be living like the dog. IF we could be LOYAL like the dog...there surely would be less hurt in the world.

So....this blog tonight is dedicated to everyone who loves their dog. And even the cat lover....who deep in their heart knows why they are cat people! I think that if we looked at the traits of the dog......and tried to more loyal, loving, unconditional, non judgemental, friendly, sniffing the flowers more....and taking an appreciation to the simple things of life.....I think that just maybe......we might become better people! So happy blogging bloggers.....and I will blog again......I know people who are like the dog....and they are my wonderful friends.....but to those in my life who are like the cat....I will pray...that they will come over to the doggie side of life! UNTIL!

Surprised Face!

Would you like to see my surprised face???? I received a note in the mail last week.....actually in invitation........summons to jury duty. I have never been invited and sometimes we get negative of the unknown. After pondering the whole jury thing......I began to feel a little stressed. We were eating dinner, Bobby and I, and he asked, are you ok?? Seem a little distracted......I said, with not the most enthusiastic voice... I am so dreading jury duty Monday. I expected that since I was talking to my mostly negative hubby....and the pesimistic one of the two......that he would feed my insecurity......he would be just as negative about this whole deal as I was being.......but to my dismay......he looked right at me....as I was munching on my salad....and said "you really need to embrace it, it could be an adventure something you have never done"! As I sat there....with my surprised face of shock........I realized that is what it is like to live with someone positive all the time. I said to myself....is that what it is like to live with me???? Someone always answering the negative with a positive. I said, you are so right sugar.....I need to embrace it as a new experience.

I arrived her at the Pasco County government center at 7:30 am........stood in a long line.......cleared security....and was sent to a room with about 278 others giving up their whole day like me. This judge came in, Judge Andrews and gave us an overview of what the day might entail. He asked, who is happy to be here.....and remembering my encouraging words from my wise hubby.....I quickly raised my hand with about 10 others. I opened my laptop.....loaded up all my favorite websites including AOL express! Low and behold my best buddy appreared online so we have been chatting to pass the time. I loaded FB My email and blogger.......so the dreaded time of getting nothing done.......is quit the contrary.

I pondered the fact that sometimes negitivity feeds from negitiity...which was what I was looking for from Bob and truely expected that I could find it in his response. INSTEAD he shocked me and reminded me that every day we live....we have the opportunity to embrace new adventures. I realized that we embrace a jet ski day.....we embrace doing our favorite hobbies......embracing the fun things of life how we seem to not want to embrace the things that we are not sure are fun.

I do not take the opportunity to commend my handsome hubby for reminding me that we all need to learn to embrace each moment that is given to us. We talk about embracing life alot in our blogs sometimes we just need to be reminded as the weight of life hangs heavy around our necks. Some of us have more on our plate then we think there is space....but remembering somethings we stress over....that we need to embrace as new experiences......like if you are negotiating with an insurance company you are learning something new....or if you are deciding to write a letter you have never written.....those are not the heavy things.......evaluate the NOT SO heavy stuff...and embrace the new experience....and save the worry for the BIG STUFF!

We all have big stuff we have to tackel when they hit us like a ton of bricks......but if we try to break down and prioritize the stuff that just takes time....like phone calls, emails, call backs, negotiatons.....once you have gotten those off your plate things do seem a little lighter.

So, word for the day! EMBRACE the not so pleasant things in your life....NOT everything you can embrace....but try to find the small stuff out of the big stuff to get rid of....even if it means it takes a few hours of your day....and try to eleminate things one by on.....until you are only worried about the outcome of the big stuff......you won't be waisting any brain power...and if you are like me I can use all he brain power I can get. Happy Blogging EVERYONE! Until next time........
