Happy Valentine's Day Fellow Bloggers

Happy Valentine's Day everyone....Bloggers and Readers. I was thought today that it is funny how we as a society puts one day aside to celebrate love. I think we should celebrate our loved ones and the special people in our lives everyday. As I picked out my Valentine's cards my heart smiled as some of the most important people in my life, my husband and my two beautiful children God has given me........all is good and well today in my life.

Nothing came out in the middle of the night to kick me in the tail end! No shoes have fallen...and that darn full moon last week totally left me alone! As the challenges of life can still come and be ugly at any moment......for this moment it is well with my soul.

As I popped on the FB pages of the friends on my FB.......I see such love from girlfriends to boyfriends....daughters to daddy's.....moms to daughters......friends to friends.........spouses to spouses........people who are not ashamed to profess how much they love the ones that God has put in our lives.......today like everyday....it a time to say.....how important you are in my life.....if you are reading this today....I wish you LOVE.......I wish you all the love can give you not just today....but the embracing of each new day God gives you here....to feel the love that someone has for you....and to feel the love you have for someone else.

I have been reminded these past few months that life is fragile. Tomorrow the shoe might fall, the full moon might kick me in the tail....but when it comes.....I will handle the challenges and obsticals that I need to at the moment to survive....but for now......for today.......I will feel loved......enjoy the moment........and be positive that the love I have for my family.....they feel everyday. I will work on being the best mom, the best wife, the best daughter, the best friend I can be.....giving of myself to those around me.

Don't take love for granted today or any day. Being loved is amazing.........and loving in return is even better. Bloggers and Readers....Happy Valentines Day........UNTIL NEXT TIME...........

Broken Seam Repaired

Peace like a river.....was a song sang in church this morning. In all honesty, I should have gotten myself up and out this morning but with all the things and obsticals over the weekend, I chose to livestream CHURCH this morning. As the hymn rang out from my living room, as I was trying to fix the major project over the weekend...draining our pool of 10,000 gallons......fixing the liner.......refilling yesterday......and getting it back in functioning order. When Peace Like a River was sang, I stopped what I was doing...and came in to sing with the choir and harmonize a bit. The words of that song rang so strong this morning with all the greiving that many have felt this past month.

As I sat infront of the computer........listening to Pastor...looking into the eyes of those who have lost loved ones........it was time for the sermon. I was wondering, what God has placed on the heart of Pastor for the week. To my surprise......it was on marriage and family. I love to listen to a message that feeds my spirit of reality of life.....the celebration of marriage as Valentines Day approaches. I am lucky and blessed to be surrounded by very solid marriages. My mom and dad, Sister Martha & Brother Ed, My Pal Forever and Granma.......I have grown up all my life, that divorce is not an option. I beleive in divorce. I beleive there are times in a marriage it is time to move on and find another partner going down your same path. Three words today Pastor spoke on for a foundation of a marriage "Say I'm Sorry, Say I'm Wrong.....these are "pointers" that he spoke on.....to keep marriages together.

He made a parallel to marriages....it reminded me of my pool project. The seam had rusted apart during these past 12 years. It is an above ground pool. The liner was under such pressure with the water causing it to stretch out through the broken seam. This reminded me of what he was saying. Once the water and pressure was released and the pool was empty, we bolted a three foot peice of steel to the inside of the liner. Bob said, "this liner will be stronger then it was from the factory". I doubted a little.....as the water filled up the pool, and passed the repaird seam. The pressure of that 10 thousand gallons on the new peice of medal had been a patch of protection to the seam. Today as I was listening to Pastor and I watched his face as his passion for family is soooooo strong, I was reminded that my marriage is like that broken seam and that any challenges I have faced in my marriage....that the patch we have put on it.....will make it stronger then from the factory.

As Valentines day approaches, make a vow to your mate God has given to you.....to be honest, loyal, loving and learn to say, I am sorry. It was amazing cuz, when Pastor said that...I said out loud....it goes a long way. Pastor was right on the money this morning. I love my husband today! As my anniversary approaches in March...celebrating how many years? 23 years. We have walked many roads, but I look forward to my future with him.

As Pastor ended his sermon, he did it with a story about my sweetest Granpa. A man of marriage and family. I was reminded how after a bad accident that caused granma to have seizers, he committed himself to his wife to the day God took him home. As tears fell down my cheeks, happy tears, I was reminded how honored I have been to be surrounded in my life of positive marriages that refuse to fail and grow old together until God takes the other home.

As the broken repaired seam, my marriage will be stronger then ever. I have friends that too have struggled with marriage and yours too, will be stronger then ever...and you will grow old with mate God has put in your life. So bloggers / readers, whether or not your are married or not......if God has sent someone to you.....and placed them in your life, appreciate them everyday. Don't only appreciate the big things......appreciate the everyday stuff. Love your Mate! Not just on the day of love.....but everyday. Until next time.

Blogging with a heavy heart

It is with a heavy heart that I blog today. Since the beginning of the year, all has been steady........and the obsticals and challenges in my life have been much to the norm.....the rainy days have certainly come my way since the end of the year but the challengers and gloomy days have not been more then I can bear.

I had lunch with a handsome grey bearded man yesterday whos heart also is heavy for the line of work he has been called too. I told him that I was glad that God did not call me into the ministry such as him, as I am not sure I could have ever handled what God has called him to do. He has been called to send 5 people to heaven since the beginning of 2012. Something like death......is not something that I handle well and learned that even though the line of a pastor comes with all the seasons of life, no one handles it well and it makes our hearts sad and heavy.

As the writer of Ecclesiates chapter 3 states...

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

Copied by one of my favorite websites.....biblegateway.com

There is nothing that hurts more then the loss and finalization of a loved one going to heaven. Not that I am sure heaven is the ultimate place to be.....but I hope that God doesn't call me anytime soon.....cuz I really like it here and have much to do before my time is up. I know that the greiving process is so hard, especially when you loose someone suddenly......there are so many unanswered questions......there is so many things you wish you would have said....there are so many things you wish you could ask.....but when someone leaves this earth before your ready for them to go.....it leaves this hole in your heart....that only time can fill.

It amazes me how God has created us, to be creatures of "bouncers" we baouce back even when we go through the toughest of times......when we don't think our heart will ever heal.....some how....it does.

As my heart is heavy on behalf of my brothers and sisters in God today who have lost precious loved ones.......I know that in time, your hearts will heal. For the parents who have lost a child, for children who have lost a mom.......for ones who have lost a spouse...for those who have lost an aunt or uncle or a brother....my heart greives with you today. So, as this weekend of the sad and final day approaches, I pray for all of you......and know in my heart that God will offer you the strength it will take for you to survive, learn, stand and ultimately go on. I know that you have been there for me in such times as this.........and I am there supporting you too in your time of need.

So bloggers and readers...the true realization that if you are reading this....and you have anyone in your life you love, tell them today....don't assume they just know....because life surely turns on a dime......and your next moment in life, as unsure as it is....could change. So never hesitate to tell the ones you love how much they mean to you......UNTIL next time........

Anyone Know What TIME it is?

There is an inside joke in my house.....as everyone knows this is truely my favorite time of the year.......I ask......"anyone know what time it is?" and the answer is always the same....Christmas Time. This is truely the season that makes me shine more then any other time of the year.....even summer....if you can beleive that!

It is time where people are just a little nicer, sweeter, they smile more....like the snowman.....that is why the snow man is my favorite depictor other then Jesus of course....as to not loose the true sight of the holiday of Christmas.....as I have never seen a sad snowman!

No matter what challenges that comes to the snowman.....he still has a smile on his face....embraces the fun and smiles through them. I do not look for challenges in during the Christmas season...and hope they are not looking for me. As we all approach the Christmas and the last day of the year, it truely is a time to reflect on the year, and the year to come......2012.

There are many changes I personally want to make for myself this year...and have already began my resolution list......many resolutions I could not keep this year....and many I just had to make up as I went along....this truely will be a year I will be glad to see go down in "history" and leave it behind. I have learned many of lifes valuable lessons....some I guess God brought me through to learn and know I can survive...and many I hope that He will accept that I have learned and will never have to go through again. This year, 2011, truely has been one of the most challenging years in all of my "39 and holding" years.

My many friends have kept me strong this year....even at my weakest moments. When I felt like there was no hope to be found........I leaned on many of you, my readers and my bloggers for the much needed support of strength and I say thank you. I look back in some of my weakest moments, and if you were not supportive, I surely would not be who I am today. My world as I knew it was crashing around my feet for most of the year....and just like Moses holding me up, I had calls, texts, emails of support from so many, many who did not even realize my personal struggles, but your support, a word, encouragement, a text.......sometimes....just you being busy or having something else going at the time I called........was the right thing for me at that moment. So THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!

As we approach one of the busiest seasons.....I wish all of the readers and bloggers the same........the most enjoyable rest of the season........a prosperous new year 2012. All of your dreams and wishes of the season to come to you. I do have much to be thankful for....and will grasp the last of this 2011 as we all approach a new and Happy New Year. Many changes in my life this year, and I will enbrace them all as I embark into another year.

I have watched from my FB page the growth of many friends.....changes in their lives...from children, marriages, new relationships, illness, losses......and challenges they too have faced this year. To all of you, you all remain in my thoughts and prayers each and every day. For challenges truely keep us on our toes...and forever stronger. This truely is the season of giving.....not just of stuff.....but of self! So to all my bloggers and readers, I wish to you the happiness of the season....and the best 2012 you could ever ask for.......let's start the new year over.....from scatch.....and pray for the Best ever! UNTIL..........

Can it really be my turn to Harvest?

Fall is truely not my holiday. I like when the leaves change, the cool breezes blow in....and bring pollen from the north and make my allergies go crazy! LOL This is truely the favorite holiday of a counter partner, Coach K! As I pondered on what I was going to blog on today, after a conversation with an "ol friend" yesterday, I was reminded that there are adversities that we go through, we certainly don't deserve, however, there comes a time in our adversity when we realize it truely has come to a balanced place of life where it is OK for us to realize, we just might be in the "Harvest" time. A time of reaping all that we have sown.......seeds of faithfulness when we didn't feel like being that, merciful when maybe there really wasn't enough mercy to extend anymore, love when maybe the love felt like it had ran out........faith, can't even go there.......and HOPE? When it seems like all hope is lost, you emerge out of your muck something much stronger then you ever thought you could be. I don't beleive I have ever looked at "harvest time" in this manner, but for some reason the inspiration of my blog reminded me yesterday, that maybe the adversity we don't "DESERVE" however, if you work hard at SEED TIME......THEN MAYBE EVERYONE DESERVES HARVEST TIME.

As I seached photos online to epict this time of year, as to not steal the glorious thunder of the FALL season from Coach K, I thought, just maybe I do deserve the harvest of the planting and seed time this past 10 months. I have learned so much these past 10 months about myself, how others see me, how I see my family, how I need to accept certain things and ways in my life that they just are. I would have loved to fix everything for everyone, however, a lifetime of trying to attempt the change, never works, only when I need to change me does it work. So, as my most favorite time of the year approaches, rather quickly I might add, I am going to embrace every day of the Harvest time. It seems amazing that a year has flown by, and for a while thought it left me behind, however in my reflection, its the contrary, it has not left me behind.......as I came up for air, I saw the fruit this time, the bountiful harvest of all that I had planted. Well I am exaggerating, it is not really bountiful, but it will be.....and that is my optimism talking!

The abundance of wisdom once said there are seasons for everything under the sun. A time to be born, a time to die, time for laughter a time for tears, a time to mourn a time to dance, a time to tear a time to mend, a time to plant and there truely is a time for harvest. It was not footloose or the beatles either! I am going to accept that this is my time for all the positive things, Dance, Mend, Plant, Keep, Love, Leace, Build and just plain ol' LIVE!!!!! (Eccloesiastes 3)

Bloggers/Readers I hope that this Fall season you find your bountiful harvest. Where ever it is coming from, it doesn't matter, we all deserve to partake in the bountiful fruit of our labors of planting time. Enjoy your harvest time......and always remembering that adversity is never easy, but it builds such character and vision that when you are on the other side, you will be able to see the abundance of your fruits waiting for you. Enjoy all that God has for you.......in the place you are at today. Until next time everyone! Happy Blogging/Reading!

Breaking the Chain of Behavior

In this mornings message, during live stream, Pastor spoke to the men after a wonderful mens meeting last night. Message was about how as women we sometimes don't trust our men to really be able to lead our families, like we think it should be led, which means sometimes we have a tendancy of just doing it ourselves. He talked about how sometimes, behaviors or learned traits from our granparents, parents make our behaviors or habits remain the same. Unless someone in the generational pool breaks those chains of behavior it will continue from one generation to another.

He spoke about the "Walters" history of alcholic and how my dearest granpa broke the chain and said for me and my house we will serve the Lord. My granpa was Irish and my granma was Hungarian. We all know that the Irish are famous for, yep you got it a temper. Now, I can blame forever, my ancestors and the reasons that I do things, and not be accountable for my own actions. What Pastor was saying is that generationally all of us can decide to break the history of what is set before us and make the necessary changes to be different for our own families and our own selves and children. I can fly off the handle and be angry and say, you have to put up with it, after all I am Irish and I can not help it. But like my granpa I need to say, even though I am Irish, I can make efforts not to hurt people with my words. I can just like my father, say, I will not allow the chains of my family history designate who I will grow old like. I will change my destiny and be different with His help.

I am reading a book and this book has made me really think alot and do some serious soul searching, I have realized that some of my behaviors I have tried to not be the blame, however, this morning's message was the confirmation that I needed to OWN THEM AND CHANGE THEM as accountability for the part that I play. I have noticed in my own soul searching that if I change and break free from some of these chains that really bind me, I would be a freer person. I would like myself just a little bit more. Change, we have talked about before goes against human nature, however, change always starts with the one inside.

We all have those things in our life that so easily sets us back.......but when you see it and realize it, never blaming why it is there or how it got there....but just saying, I need to change that. I need to react different, I need to let God help me with that......only then can we truely start becoming the person inside that we want to be. Today's rainy day led me to blog once again and we all know that my pattern of blogging is usually inspired by something, someone or something someone says. This morning's ponderings inspired me to blog once again, thanks Pastor. :-)

Some things we struggle with we have to just Ask Him to help us control. But it is just like any thing that we need to change, we always have to start by recognizing it and how much of a better person we would be not only to others, but to ourselves without the Chain holding us back. So, bloggers and readers, if you too are struggling with a chain keeping you from being the free person you want to be. Work on it daily, and remember, when you have decided to change something expect that you will be tested in that area.........that is just the nature of the beast.....so be prepared. Happy Blogging everyone UNTIL!

To Fly or Crash?

Life Quotes

Been a while since I have been on any site socially or blogged......sometimes we all have to take a time out......and just reflect on ourselves......but back I think in the swing of stuff and slowly will get back to the social part of life. These past 9 months have been challenging and sometimes I do feel like the bird that is supposed to fly, but this quote spoke to me today that unless I am prepared to crash, I will never truly fly.

I think that has been my life.........that I was really stuck in the crashing part......and lost the confidence in the flying part!!! I have realized these past few weeks.....that I am soring above the clouds once again in life in general. I think when we reach a place on our path or jouney in life, we know we can fly......but soring just does no come as easy as it could. I have truely found much strength in others on this journey who like me preceeded before me and they too found strength and have overcome many obsticals.

It amazes me that my last posting was in July, and here I sit embarking on to the month of October already....another year just flew right by....pardon the pun! There are many things that I looked forward to the upcoming summer season.....boating, scalloping, jet-setting, tanning but it will be there next summer. Here we will still hsve some warm days left.....and I think that this week.....with the forcast of only 20% chance of rain, I will embrace a day and take to the open water. As being on the open water always makes my mind and soul happy! I have been in project after project and will slow down this fall and take in some of the important things of life. People, Friends, sharing and being there for those in need, as my friends and family have been for me.

Blogger and Readers, many of you, have been the mainstay in my survival and I hope that I can be here for each and every one of you if ever you need a helping hand. I am glad to be back among the living and the social. SO readers/bloggers, if you are embracing the fall season, remember, We are all on this jouney together, plugging along at our own pace. So, what ever you are going through, I hope that you remember, you are never alone, there is always someone out there, who has been where you are......to encourage you, lift you up and be your support. Until Next Time.....Happy Flying crashing is always optional.......I pray for you a soft landing!
